The Finance Council of St. Mary’s parish is one of two mandatory councils
required under canon law. The function of the Finance Council is to act in
an advisory capacity to the parish pastor. The council consists of
members selected by the pastor to serve staggered three year terms. The
terms may be renewed for a second three-year time frame. Potential members
may apply during the annual “Time and Talent” survey usually held in early
fall. Terms begin in January of each year. Meetings are held four times
per year and are listed on the parish calendar and announced in the weekly
Bulletin and monthly Newsletter.
