Middle School Religious Education Program
 

Welcome to St. Mary, Byron, Middle School Religious Education!

 

My name is Beth Hildreth, and I am the Religious Education Coordinator for 6th-12th grades here at St. Mary Parish.   I can be reached at the Parish Office at (815) 234-7431, at home at (815) 234-2715, and/or at beth@saintmaryinbyron.org.  Our Religious Education classes for 6th-8th grades are held on Wednesday evenings from 6:45-8:15pm.  Please see the Middle School Religious Education calendar for class dates.

 

Confessions are generally heard on Wednesday evenings before classes from 6:30-6:45.  Eucharistic Exposition, Adoration, and Benediction also take place in the church during most class times on Wednesday evenings 6:30-8:00.  Eucharistic Exposition and Adoration are 6:30-8:15, with Benediction at 8:10.  Please see the General Parish Calendar or bulletin for dates.

 

We believe that God has called us to plant “seeds” in your child’s heart, but our planting season is short.  So we need your help! 

We want to be partners with you as the “sowers” in the growth of your child’s faith.  You can help by 

  • making sure your child comes to class and is on time

  • asking your child questions and reviewing any handouts he/she brings home

  • taking your child to Mass every Saturday or Sunday.  Mass is THE primary focus of our entire faith life. 

Please contact the office or catechist if your child will be absent.

 

Tuition: $70/student, $170/family maximum; payable by Oct. 1.  Families who are unable to pay or need assistance should contact the CRE.
