Parish Pastoral Council

The Parish Pastoral Council is one of two mandatory councils required under canon law. The function of the council is to act in an advisory capacity to the parish pastor. The council brings to the pastor the cares, concerns, and needs of our fellow parishioners. These can be either spiritual in nature or every day concerns that impact the parish community.

The council consists of 10-12 members selected by the pastor to serve staggered three year terms. The terms may be renewed for a second three-year time frame. Potential members may apply during the annual “Time and Talent” fair held in early fall. Terms begin in January of each year. Meetings are held eight times per year and are listed on the parish calendar and announced in the weekly Bulletin and quarterly Newsletter.

Items for consideration on the agenda can be addressed to the pastor, put in the suggestion box (located in the church lobby), council members, and through the Parish Office. Meetings are chaired by the council President and are held on the parish campus.
